Patty can come to your site, present and talk about collaborative programming. But if you want to experience collaborative studios first hand and discuss the philosophy with the artist who started the movement, consider going to Athens, Ohio for one or more days for “Hanging with Patty and Robert”. The experience is tailored to your interests and the needs of your organization. Activities can include:
- Discussing the collaborative art process: breaking down steps, materials and philosophy
- Understanding your project: where you are, where you want to be
- Visiting Passion Works Studio, Rendville Art Works and/or Vinton County Industries
- Seeing public art made by Passion Works Studio: fountain, ceramic tile benches, community center installation…and more
- Hands on art demonstration: introduction to materials, technique
- How to involve community and maintain a special focus on working through the ideas of individuals with different abilities
- Art to Product: ideas for building a product line with the intent of developing employment, profit and community presence
- Viewing actual artworks and products developed through this technique and breaking down how they came to be
- Areas of special interest to you and your program
